There are a few exceptions (Ben Hogan and Fred Couples included, but let's face it, we are not as good as them), but nearly every golfer needs and uses a golf glove.  The science is relatively simple - golf gloves offer the wearer a better grip when swinging clubs at pace than your bare skin.  These benefits are amplified if the grip of the club is wet or hands become sweaty on hot days, and the wearing of a glove will help stop the golf club from twisting in the hands. 

When choosing a golf glove, there are a couple of things to take into consideration. The main one is the material you want the glove to be made from, either an all-weather synthetic fabric or leather. Leather gloves are much thinner and offer more ‘feel’, but they will also tend to wear out more quickly, especially amongst novices or higher handicap players.
